Deciding between Jan. 15-21,2013 & May 22-30,2013. What's best: taking into consideration: weather, crowds, flying vs. driving? If we do Jan- have to fly= more $, less park days. May= longer WDW trip, more parks, higher resort $. Best bang for buck. Than

    Hi Angela!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

This is not an easy question.  January is definitely less crowded, but the weather can be cold; you will need a light jacket at night typically and may even require one during the day!  In fact, it actually snowed a couple of January's ago, though it didn't stick to the ground!

The crowds will typically be higher in May, especially Memorial Day Weekend.  However, comparing that weekend to other Holiday weekends, it is really not that bad.  The weather will obviously be warmer, but in fact, it can be hot and humid in May.

That said, I suggest going in May.  I think having more time in Walt Disney World is better, and you can also visit the water parks in May to round our your trip.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
