Hi Margery,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! You’ll be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season, how exciting! Remember that
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is back. This is a ticketed event in
Magic Kingdom Park full of food, fun entertainment, and character greetings. You might even see snow on Main Street U.S.A! Check out the Party dates here to see if any align with your schedule.
Avatar Flight of Passage,
Slinky Dog Dash, and
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are further away from the entrances of their respective Theme Parks. From the entrance, it could be about a 10 – 15 minute walk depending on how fast you’re walking and how much of a crowd there is. With
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, if you’re entering from the
International Gateway (by the Disney Skyliner & World Traveler shop), you’ll be very close to the ride (no more than a 10 minute walk). On the other hand, it’s a much further walk if you’re entering from the front of
EPCOT by
Spaceship Earth.
When it comes to
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), guests can rent them in the Theme Parks, Water Parks, and at Disney Springs. The ECVs that are rented in these areas are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re hoping to book an ECV in advance, you could rent through ScooterBug. With this option, you're able to order an ECV to use throughout the Walt Disney World Resort for the length of your stay. The amazing part about this service is that the ECV is delivered right to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel! The Cast Members at the Resort will work with the ScooterBug team to deliver and return the ECV or wheelchair rental on your behalf. It’s super simple, just pre-order your delivery to start the process.
If you need directions to any of the attractions, you can always use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to input directions from where you’re located to the attraction you’re going to. Within the app, just select on the map icon (second icon from the left on the bottom), choose the attraction, and select “Get Directions”!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation later this year. If you have any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
