Deciding between breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickeys. What are the buffets like

    Hi Stephanie!

I have been to both breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickeys, and while I enjoy them both I would have to say that I slightly prefer breakfast. It's hard to make that choice though as there is a very extensive dessert buffet during dinner hours!

Menu items are always subject to change but during my last visit during breakfast there was a wide selection of fresh fruit, pastries and muffins. The hot buffet items include your usual breakfast items like scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes and one of my favorites - Mickey waffles! Chef Mickeys also usually has a special omelette selection and breakfast pizza. These are just some of the items that may be offered at the time of your visit.

Dinner at Chef Mickeys also gives you many choices. There are usually a selection of soups and salads in addition to meats like roast beef or ham at the carving station. One of my favorite items during our last dinner there were the Mickey shaped cheese raviolis in marinara sauce. There are also seafood selections and sides such as rice pilaf and mashed potatoes.

The children's section of the buffet has kid approved choices like macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and pizza. Even though there is a children's portion of the buffet - children are welcome to eat anything from the "adult" section and adults can enjoy the children's offerings if they'd like. As I mentioned earlier, Chef Mickey's has a huge dessert area with a make your own ice cream sundae section and lots of cookies, cakes and pies.

I personally don't think you can go wrong with either breakfast or dinner. I think you should make a reservation for whichever will fit within your schedule best. If your family gets up early, Chef Mickeys opens at 7:00 am for breakfast. It's a wonderful option for an early breakfast if you want to make it to the Magic Kingdom in time for opening.

I hope this helps! Enjoy whichever meal you choose!
