We are deciding between the Beach Club 1 Br. Villa vs. 2 regular rooms (about $2000 more) for 4. Like the idea of the kitchen but kids would have to sleep in living area, not a deal breaker. I have heard that the villas aren't as nice. Any thoughts?

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about accommodations at Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Villas. I love staying at both of these properties because of their proximity to Epcot. There's nothing like taking a five minute walk to an amazing theme park. And you won't find a better pool anywhere than Stormalong Bay. Promise me you'll try the shipwreck slide while you're there. It's exhilarating!

Given the price difference in the options you propose, I would select the 1-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club Villas. I love the king-size bed in the master bedroom and find the queen-sized pull-out bed in the living room very comfortable. It feels like such an incredible luxury to have access to my own washer and dryer on vacation, and a full kitchen gives me the opportunity to make breakfast in the room if I like, too. I find the portion of the resort with the Disney Vacation Club villas every bit as charming as the main section of the resort.

There are a few factors that may tip the scales in favor of the two regular rooms at Disney's Beach Club Resort, however. If you need a second bathroom or your children refuse to sleep in the same bed, then you'd be better off with the two regular rooms as this option would afford you access to two bathrooms and four queen-size beds.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan. We'd be happy to provide any information you may need.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
