Hi there. We have decided that we will be purchasing the Deluxe DDP due to it's flexibility. Also as we will be staying in the AKL and the breakfast there requires a 'table service' DDP credit. If we have any credits left over, what can we do with them?

    Hi Amrit,

With the Deluxe Dining Plan you will be dining in style.  The deluxe plan allows you 3 meal credits (table or quick service) and 2 snacks per day.  That's a lot of food.  I suggest enjoying some signature dining restaurants or dinner shows that take 2 credits per meal to enjoy.  Jiko is one of my favorite restaurants, possibly anywhere, and it's right in Animal Kingdom Lodge.  If you dine at a couple of signature restaurants, you should be able to use up most of your credits fairly easily.

If you have leftover credits, you'll basically lose them.  You may be able to trade them in for snacks that you can bring home.  However, I think with 2 snack credits per day, you'll have more than enough snacks already.

Don't feel like you have to eat breakfast at a full service buffet like Boma.  It's delicious, but it can be a bit much.  Mara is a counter service restaurant in Animal Kingdom Lodge that has a breakfast menu.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
