We have decided on our date to visit Disneyworld which will be in November 2018. Is there anything we can make reservations for before the 6 month calendar comes out? For instance, shows, restaurants etc.?

Hello Ilene and thanks for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel such a great question about your plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort this coming November.
For me the planning element of my own families Disney visits are almost as much fun as the actual trip; I love exploring Disney.go.com to look for inspiration on what to do when we arrive at Walt Disney World Resort and of course there's the Disney Parks Blog for all Disney related news and upcoming announcements. Plus to aid planning be sure to create a My Disney Experience account and also download the handy My Disney Experience Mobile app.
After taking a peek at what's Coming to Walt Disney World Resort I also find this Park Hours & Calendars link to be extra useful as it generally shows schedules for up to 6 months ahead of time enabling me to begin making my own Disney touring plan.
Next up is Advanced Dining Reservations for Disney restaurants, Character Dining and Dinner Shows which can be secured 180 days ahead of arrival and as a great perk for Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel also for a further 10 days into a stay.
