If we decide not to go to a theme parks on Xmas day (Due to crowds) what do you suggest we do for the day ? We do have a booking at California Grill at 5.00pm and then the Pirates Fireworks cruise later...but what would you do during the day with 2 kids?

    Hi Amanda,

My ideal free day at Disney would include sleeping a little later, but I could never get my children to cooperate! If the weather is nice, it would be easy to convince my family to spend some time by the pool.

However, I think a great plan for a free day on Christmas day would be to go on a resort tour. Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have incredible holiday displays. You could do a tour of the monorail resorts, or the Epcot area resorts (or both!) There are several great restaurants where you could make a lunch reservation, or you could simply choose one of their quick service locations for a smaller meal since you have plans for California Grill.

If you visit the monorail resorts, be sure to allow plenty of time for the unbelievable gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
