Hi George,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with this question! I'll admit I was a one-park-per-day girl for many years, but I gave park hopping a try last year and I really loved the flexibility it offered. It has become my go-to for shorter visits since I'm able to see my favorite attractions across parks with fewer ticketed days.
If you're considering adding the
Park Hopper Option for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the upgrade will apply to all ticketed days for your length of stay. This doesn't mean you would be required to hop each day, but the add-on would apply to all days. Second, park hopping is allowed after 2 p.m. subject to availability and you must first enter your reserved park before hopping to another.
I especially like to combine
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT on a single visit as the two are just a quick Monorail ride apart. Similarly, you can easily hop between EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios via the walking path around Crescent Lake or by cruising on the Friendship boats.
Another tip to keep in mind is that if you purchase
Disney Genie+ Service you'll be able to access Lightning Lane entrances across all the parks on a single day, subject to attraction availability. It's a great way to experience shorter lines at your favorite attractions for a single daily fee.
I hope this was helpful George. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to come back and visit us again!
Magic and memories,
Amy
