Ahoy there, Patricia, and welcome to planDisney! Your 5-Night
Very Merrytime Cruise is just around the riverbend, so let’s look ahead to what you can expect on your itinerary.
Night 2, after your day at sea, is your optional dress-up night. Then, you’ll want to put on your finest pirate garb on Night 3 for
Pirate Night! And make sure to look to the skies after the deck party to see some of the most fabulous fireworks at sea (weather permitting).
Even though the official dining attire is listed as “Cruise Casual” on Night 4, this is the evening you’ll experience Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Party, so if you want to pack some special holiday attire, this is the perfect night to wear it. I’ve also seen families bring matching Christmas pajamas to wear on this night, especially for taking holiday photos in the atrium before dinner. I’ve even been known to wear my holiday PJs to the show in the Walt Disney Theatre!
In my opinion, you couldn’t have picked a better time to set sail. You’ll experience all the wonder and merriment of the holidays without the same crowds that sometimes gather towards the end of the month. Plus, I typically find the weather during mid-December to be optimal for cruising.
You’ve also selected one of my favorite itineraries because, in addition to stopping in Nassau, you’ll be docking in both of Disney’s island destinations:
Castaway Cay and
Lighthouse Point. Just keep a close eye on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to make sure you don’t miss a minute of the specially-themed activities during your trip.
Have a magical trip, Patricia, and if you think of any more questions before you set sail, I hope you’ll visit us again here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
