Hi there, Anita!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to discuss one of my favorite topics - celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to grab a Birthday Celebration Button from Guest Services upon arrival. The well-wishes you will receive from Cast Members and fellow Guests are sure to make the day extra special. Because The Most Magical Place on Earth always feels a bit more magical when experienced with those you love most, I love that you will be celebrating with dear friends!
Unfortunately, Anita, valid theme park admission is required to dine in a restaurant located inside a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, so anyone without a theme park ticket will be unable to join the rest of your party at the
Rose & Crown. Happily, Walt Disney World Resort has so many incredible dining options outside of the theme parks that theme park admission is not a requirement for a memorable birthday dinner! If you would like to spend the day in EPCOT, then you might consider making a dinner reservation near
Disney's BoardWalk. Flying Fish and Trattoria al Forno are located on the BoardWalk, while
Yachtsman Steakhouse,
Ale & Compass Restaurant, and
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop are located at the nearby
Disney's Beach Club Resort. In my opinion, Disney's BoardWalk is the perfect area for an adults-only celebration.
Belle Vue Lounge and
AbracadaBar have great (but very different) atmospheres for lingering and laughing with friends before ending the evening (and welcoming the morning hours) at the
Atlantic Dance Hall or
Jellyrolls.
If dinner with a view of fireworks is your priority, then you should consider a dining reservation at one of the Disney Resort hotels located along the monorail.
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort all feature views of
Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park and even include the iconic soundtrack (no theme park admission)! Be sure to check the
Hours & Events Calendar so that you can time your reservation during the fireworks. After dinner, you could linger at one of the resort lounges or enjoy a view of the
Electrical Water Pageant as it sails along Seven Seas Lagoon.
I hope this information helps you plan the most magical birthday celebration, Anita! Feel free to stop back by if you are in need of further assistance.
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
