Hi Wayne!
Welcome back to planDisney! I’m quite thrilled to hear that you will be sailing on the Disney Wonder out of Galveston later this year; she is my favorite ship in the Disney fleet. Your itinerary is also a
Very Merrytime sailing...sounds like the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit!
You may already know that
Galveston does not have a commercial airport, so the best option is one of the airports in Houston. Disney Cruise Line actually recommends Guests cruising from Galveston use George Bush Intercontinental Airport. And yes, you can absolutely use Disney Cruise Line
ground transportation to travel to Galveston from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (approximately 90 minutes travel time).
Ground transfers between George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Port of Galveston are currently listed at $ 45 each way per Guest. Disney Cruise Line ground transportation is only available on embarkation and debarkation days. When you call (800) 951-3532 to pre-arrange, be ready to give them your flight details.
Once you have your transportation all lined up, I hope it will be nothing but smooth sailing through your entire Disney cruise vacation. If you think of more questions, make a pit stop back at planDisney and ask away!
SEA ya real soon!
Sherry
