How do we decde on dinning when we don't know where we will be each day when we have to reserve?

Planning a WDW trip does seem overwhelming when you consider the decisions that have to be made on your resort, tickets, itinerary and dining reservations.

If you have your resort figured out, the next step would be to try and make a game plan for your visit. If you have park hopper tickets, remember that you can tour more than one park per day. For example, you might want to go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning and then hop to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations fireworks.

Your resort location will also play a factor in your dining choices. If you are staying at a deluxe hotel, the on-site restaurants may make a perfect place to have lunch after returning from a fun-filled park in the morning.

Start with a rough draft of your itinerary. You can always make changes as new park hours and entertainment schedules are released closer to your vacation dates. Then you can make adjustments to your Advance Dining Reservations, if needed.

If you plan on a day in the Animal Kingdom, you might want to try a restaurant in the park or take the bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for your meal.

From the Magic Kingdom, you are a boat ride away from Ft. Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge. The monorail can transport you to the Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian Resort.

While at Epcot, you'll have many dining options. However, you may want to visit the nearby Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach Club resorts.

Disney's Hollywood Studios offer some unique dining. From here, you are a pleasant boat ride away from the Boardwalk, Yacht Club and Beach Club.

Don't forget the dining options at Downtown Disney. Earlier this week, we ate at Earl of Sandwich, Raglan Road and the T-Rex Cafe.

First, decide which parks you'll visit each day of your visit. Then choose nearby dining locations. Try to minimize the time needed to travel to your meal.
