I have a Dec. reservation at POFQ. We have our tix, reserved our park days, and have our flights set. However, the resort remains closed. Should I call to change our reservation, or wait for Disney to call us?

Welcome back to the bayou, Robert!

It’s great to hear that you’ve booked your flights, purchased tickets, and made reservations with the new Disney Park Pass System! Now, let’s make sure you’re settled with your Disney Resort Hotel

As we continue going down the bayou, new Disney Resort Hotels will continue to open along the way! A fantastic resource for princesses and frogs is the Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go page on the official Walt Disney World website. About halfway down the page you’ll find a list of Disney Resort Hotels and their scheduled opening dates. (Remember: Dates are subject to change!)

At this time, there has not been an announcement on when Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter will reopen for Guests. My firefly-buddy, Raymond, informs me that updates are likely to come as the weeks and months roll along. Stay in touch with the Disney Parks Blog and the Know Before You Go pages for continued information.

A fabulous thing to do would be to call my beignet-loving friends at Walt Disney World directly. Mama Odie and her friends are waiting to help explain and alter your reservations in any way you need! And, she reminds us, no matter what, “It’s gonna be good!”

We hope to hear from you again, Robert! The Disney Parks Moms Panel is always here, and reminds you that wishing on stars is NOT just for babies and crazy people! In fact, I’ll be wishing on my evening star tonight!
