Dec 2023 is our 10th anniversary. We want to celebrate on a DisneyCruise. We live in San Antonio, so a Galveston departure would work, but my wife’s #1 desire is Castaway Cay, so that’s negotiable. Please help with the trip as soon as dates are available.

Ahoy there, Robert, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to learn you're planning to celebrate your 10th anniversary on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! There really is no better place to mark such a milestone than on one of the amazing ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, so that's a 100% planDrew-approved approach! Congratulations are in order!

While itineraries for winter 2023 have not yet been released, we can make some educated guesses about what may be available at that time using this year as an example! The good news is that December is a great time to sail, and with so much included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation, no matter which itinerary your choose, you'll be in good hands and have an incredible time! No matter which specific ship or itinerary you choose, there's also a good chance that sailing in December will mean the ship will be decked out as a Very Merrytime cruise, too! So not only will you be able to celebrate your anniversary, but the holidays as well - another win-win!

Now, judging by this year's itineraries, it doesn't look like any of the sailings departing from Galveston make their way to Disney Castaway Cay. While that's a major bummer from a convenience standpoint, there's room for more good news: if you're looking to visit Disney Castaway Cay, I can say with 99% certainty that a 3-Night or 4-Night itinerary out of Port Canaveral on the Disney Wish will fit the bill! With everything to look forward to on the newest ship in the fleet, I'm sure she'd be absolutely thrilled! You know what they say, "Happy Wife, Happy Life!"

While the summer 2023 itineraries were just released this week, I'd say we'll be waiting a bit longer for winter 2023's to be announced, but I hope this gives you a starting point for what to be searching for when the time comes, Robert. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Cruise Line website, as well as the DisneyParks Blog for the latest information.

Thank you so much for your question, Robert, and congratulations again on your anniversary! If you have any other questions as your preferred dates get closer, please feel free to sail my way again here at planDisney to drop me a line!

Until then, may your anchor be tight, and your compass true!

    Andrew
