Hi Deborah! I want to take my son to Ridemakerz in Downtown Disney for his 4th birthday. Do they accept Disney gift cards? How much should I plan to spend for him to make a decent car? Thanks!

    Hi there, Leslie!

Wow! What a fun day your little birthday guy has in store!

Ridemakerz, located in Downtown Disney, opened its doors in 2010 to rave reviews. Currently housed in Team Mickey, you're sure to find all the coolest accessories to jazz up his sweet new ride. And yes, you can definitely pay for his vehicle with your Disney gift cards.

The base model vehicle - including body, chassis, and "factory" wheels - will run you anywhere from $28 - $38, plus tax. This does not include any of the extras, such as remote control chassis capability, striping, pipes, lights, or rims.

These are purchased individually, and can range from $4 for a two-pack of colorful wheels, $4 for a two-pack of killer rims, $3 for an engine roar, and all kinds of add-ons, including ones up to $25. And you can really make his day with a $25 upgrade for remote control.

The customizable nature of the experience means you can spend as much - or as little - as you'd like! Just make sure he tests his car out first on the "track" to ensure that everything rolls like a dream.

Have a great time - and happy birthday again to your little one!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
