We are debating on whether to upgrade to AKL. We would cancel the hopper and stay there. We figure there is a lot more to do at that resort, so we wouldn't mind being there more while the baby sleeps. We are currently booked for ASMu suites.

    Hi Holly!

Choices, choices!  I recently had the opportunity to see the Family Suites at All Star Music Resort, and was very impressed.  The suite was large and well laid out, with two full baths (very handy for any family!) a great kitchenette and a private master bedroom and separate living room.  (This could be great for napping kids and for hanging out with hubby after the kids are asleep).  The resort is lovely, with a huge, well themed pool, and great common areas.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is an entirely different property and vacation experience.  (It's one of our absolute favorites, so forgive any bias!)  The resort is a vacation destination in its own right.  It is set on an African savanna, and savanna-view rooms enable you to step out on your balcony and overlook exotic wildlife.  There are also many common areas throughout the resort that overlook the savanna and trails leading through it as well.  AKL features some of the best restaurants at Disney in Jiko (signature dining), Boma (buffet) and the brand new Sanaa (which I cannot wait to try!)  The pool is themed after an African watering hole and is magnificent.  The lobby is also stunning, decorated in African wood carvings.  The music piped throughout the resort truly makes you feel as though you are on a safari.

My feelings about All Star Music Family Suites were genuine.  I think these suites are a great budget-minded option for families looking for extra space.  However, if I could chose, I'd opt for Animal Kingdom Lodge for an extraordinary vacation inside and outside the parks.

    Have a great trip!
