    We are debating utilizing park transportation or renting a car and driving from resort to park - do you have any pearls of wisdom either way? We are leaning toward a rent car "just in case" we need to venture off the property. . . but we can't

    Howdy Betsy! 

    We typically use Disney transportation exclusively but I have several friends, including my fabulous fellow Moms Panelist Mona Leigh, who do a combination of rental car and Disney transportation.

    We have driven to Disney a few times and enjoyed having our car. 

    Disney transportation is phenomenal.  It's so nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the ride whether by bus, boat or monorail.

    That being said, having a vehicle offers some wonderful advantages and flexibility.  Whether you are tight on time and need to make a reservation or you are tired after a long day in the parks and don't want to wait for a bus, you will appreciate having a car available.

    We mostly used our personal vehicle when our kiddos were much younger.  With strollers, diaper bags and all of the baby must haves, it was easier for us to use our car rather than trying to load all of it on a bus.

    I hope this helps you in your planning.  If you are leaning toward a rent car, I think it is a great idea!
