Debating 2 staterooms versus 1 large room for one family of 2 adults and 4 kids, ages 13-7. Cruising Thanksgiving week out of Galveston on the Disney Wonder. Thoughts?

Hello from one fellow Texan to another! Welcome to the Moms Panel! Great question and one that I had for myself years ago with my first Walt Disney World Cruise. We decided to go with two staterooms for our family of five and I am glad we did. We had more room to ourselves and the frustration that can come with "living" in close quarters was at an all-time low. I did not feel as if my family members were constantly on top of me and I certainly appreciated the times when I needed to head back to my room for a quick nap. My husband would keep all the kids in the other room so I could take that much needed nap. Of course, with three boys, it was great having them in two different rooms. They seem to enjoy harassing each other in a loving way, but it was sure nice knowing that we could easily separate them for some quiet time. Have a joyous adventure and may the MAGIC be all around you!
