Debating about seeing Fantasmic. I know we would like it, but I have read you should get there an hour early. My almost 3 year old is not going to wait an hour that late at night even if I bring toys. Should we just skip it this year?

    Hi, Lacy!

I think it might be a good idea to pass on Fantasmic this year.  To start off with, Fantasmic is a pretty intense show in my opinion.  I remember taking my niece when she was 4, and she had her head buried in my shoulder for most of the show.   Add to that the late night and the long wait, it might not be the best choice for you.   I think you can better spend a magical evening in a better way.

Here are some other options for a fun night with your little Mouseketeer!

-Head to the Boardwalk.  There are some fun street entertainers, you can get ice cream, or just stroll this beautiful Boardwalk area.
-Go to the Polynesian Resort where you can watch Magic Kingdom's "Wishes" fireworks from the beach.  You can even see the Electric Water Pageant as it sails by (check with the front desk for exact times).
-Journey over to Fort Wilderness for a campfire and sing-along with Chip and Dale.
-Take a bus to Downtown Disney for a stop at the Lego Store or the World of Disney Store.  Get a snack or a yummy Mickey Ice Cream bar and enjoy all the fun.  You might even want to take a ride on the little carousel or train!

I hope you find the perfect way to spend an evening of fun with your family.  If you need more ideas, let me know!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
