We are debating what room to get at Pop Century next year for our 3 & 5 year olds first trip. Is it better to get a pool view or non-pool view room in the 50s, 60s, or 70s buildings? Also which floor is easiest with 2 single strollers

    Hi Molly,

Summer is here and will be gone in no time. Do you know what that means? It's Disney time!

Disney's Pop Century Resort lets you relive the 20th century from the 1950s to the 1990s. Pools at Disney's Pop Century Resort include the Hippy Dippy Pool, located in the 1960s, which gets you back in time with flower-shaped water jets. And on select nights, you can watch movies under the stars.

The Resort hotel includes rooms with several options, like Standard or Preferred Rooms, and both offer Pool View as well. The Preferred Pool View rooms are located in the 1960s section, in buildings four and five. Standard Pool View rooms are located in 1950s in buildings one, two and three, and in the 1980s in buildings seven and nine. The Disney's Pop Century Resort Rooms page include pricing and pictures of all room types.

For young kids, my recommendation would be to get rooms in buildings five or ten, requesting rooms closest to the bus stop. All buildings include elevators, which would be a must to take sleepy children back to the room in their strollers in upper floors, or requesting a room in the first floor.

Finally, you may want to visit a site like touringplans.com which include a comprehensive map of the resort showing room numbers and types. Note that the information included may not be accurate and subject to change, since it's not a Disney site.

    Let the magic begin soon!
