Debating between Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter - pros/cons for each please.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda!

Staying inside the magic has so many enchanted benefits, yet there is always that one small conundrum… which magical resort hotel to choose! But as our wise friends Timon and Pumbaa would say, hakuna matata; no worries! No matter which one you choose, you will undoubtedly have a magical visit.

Like all the resorts on property, you will find that the unique theming makes each of them a distinct experience. I have enjoyed them both and can't really think of many "cons", but here are some differences that might help you decide.

For my family, Disney's Pop Century was a really good fit! My kids loved the bright colors and fun theming. I enjoyed the special touches, like the scavenger hunt, that made our stay extra special. Getting to rent a surrey bike and ride the walkway bridge that connects this resort to Disney's Art of Animation was big family fun!  Lastly, as a budget-conscious mama, I love that this resort is considered a value resort. Staying here gives you a big pixie-dusted bang for your Disney-buck!

We chose Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter for a special anniversary and it was the perfect resort for that stay. This resort is small and quaint, a bonus since most rooms are near the bus stops and dining areas. I also adored the boat ride to Disney Springs. Another "pro" is that you will get double the recreational areas when you stay here since you will be allowed to visit its sister resort, Riverside. This resort also has a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride that is so idyllic. But really, the most important "pro" has one name: beignets! YUM!

I hope this info helps you decide which location will better fit your family's wants and needs. And if you have the time, visit the resort you didn't choose during your stay. It might just give you a reason to return!
