I am debating on the park hopper option? We are going to Epcot-2 days, and 1-day each Hollywood, and Animal Kingdom. We are only dining in these parks. What's the good and bad of the hopper option under these scenarios?

    Hi Liana,

I love that Disney provides us with so many options when visiting Walt Disney World.

We have always been big proponents of the Park Hopper option, because it allows us so much flexibility during our visits.  It is especially helpful when we are staying more than 4 days, visiting parks multiple times, are traveling with large groups with varying itineraries (and want to plan to meet-up together later), or have dining reservations in a different Park.

It also comes in handy if, say, Fantasmic! was cancelled due to weather on the day you visited Disney's Hollywood Studios, but you all really, really wanted to see this.  If you had a Park Hopper, you could head back over just for that attraction at the end of one of your other Park days!

However, we have found over the past few years that we are very content to stick to one Disney Park per day, especially if our Advanced Dining Reservations are for restaurants within the Park we plan to visit.  We have visited, and get to visit, the Parks a few times a year, usually, so we don't worry too much when we miss an attraction in one Park due to weather or time constraints.  We know (at least we HOPE) we'll be going back within a few months, and get to enjoy it then.  If you don't get to go as often, or if this is a "once in a lifetime" trip, then I would probably recommend the Park Hopper, again, for the flexibility.

It is truly up to you to decide which is more important - having flexibility and options to change your plans at the last minute, or to save a little extra money to enjoy spending on the fabulous Disney merchandise - or even better, to begin saving for your NEXT Disney vacation!
