how is debarking at cruise end handled?

    Hi, William!

While debarkation isn't my favorite part of a Disney Cruise (because it means I have to leave my floating home-away-from-home), Disney Cruise Line does a great job of making it as painless as possible! On the final evening of your cruise, you'll receive important details regarding debarkation. The information sheet, delivered to your stateroom, will include all you need to know to make a smooth transition to land from sea.

You'll receive luggage tags to place on your bags, which you'll fill out with your stateroom number, name and address. You'll place your luggage outside of your stateroom before 10pm on the last night of your cruise for delivery to the terminal. You'll want to keep valuables in a day bag (cash/credit cards, jewelry, medicines, electronics, and passports/birth certificates). Hang on to your Key to the World Card, as they'll need to scan it as you exit the ship. Also, PLEASE make sure to keep an outfit to wear on the morning you step off the ship. I've seen too many passengers in their PJs who've forgotten this important detail! When you enter the terminal, your bags will be stored by the colored luggage tags to make it easy for you to reconnect with your bags and go through customs. Porters are on hand if needed - please remember to tip them if you use their services! If you choose to carry your own luggage off the ship, you can pack your bags at your convenience and keep them with you until you depart. Once the ship is cleared, and they've made the Express Walk-Off announcement, you're free to debark with your bags in hand.

On the final morning of your sailing, you'll dine in the same restaurant where you were scheduled to eat on the last night of your cruise. Guests with Main Seating will eat around 6:45am, and guests with Second Seating around 8:00am. Room Service is not available on debarkation morning.

I hope this helps explain debarkation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
