Buonasera, Alessandra. Welcome to
planDisney! These are great questions! Let’s get straight to them!
When you purchase your
Park Hopper ticket, you’ll choose which park you’ll visit first. That means you must scan into that park first, but as soon as you do, you can park hop whenever you want. You could rope drop in
Epcot, take a picture in front of
Spaceship Earth, then turn right around and get on the
Monorail to head to
Magic Kingdom. Just keep in mind that each park is subject to availability for capacity considerations.
When deciding which
Lightning Lane is best, there are many factors to consider.
Lightning Lane Multipass can be used in each park you hop to throughout the day, though you have to reserve ride times, and there are limits to how many you can book. The
Lightning Lane Premier pass allows you to use the Lightning Lane for each Lightning Lane ride once, but does not require a reservation. You can just show up and enter the line. This pass, however, is only good for one park, and you cannot purchase a Premier Pass for more than one park a day. This might be a good option if you plan to stay at one park for the whole day. While both passes are subject to availability, the Premier Pass is more likely to be unavailable, as fewer are offered per day. The Premier Pass costs quite a bit more, as well. In my estimation, especially if you use it well, I think the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the best value for the price.
When you purchase your park tickets, you will check out for each day of your trip, and be allowed to add Lightning Lane to each day. When you finish checking out for the day, another button will appear that says “Plan Another Day.” You’ll go to the next day, select your tickets and add Lightning Lane if you want, check out, and repeat the process until your entire trip is planned. There isn’t any discount for adding Lightning Lane to multiple days. Also, remember that if you’re staying at a
Disney World Resort Hotel, your Lightning Lane booking window opens 7 days before your visit, giving you the opportunity to reserve better times. If you’re staying off property, the Lightning Lane booking window opens 3 days before your visit.
Alessandra, I hope you have the best visit ever! There is so much to see and do, and with the Lightning Lane Pass, you’re going to make many magical memories. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to bring them to us at
planDisney. We’re here for you!
I hope you have a magical day.
