Hello, and welcome to planDisney. We're happy that you are here!
First and foremost, congratulations on your bundle of joy. What an exciting time! I love that you want to make
The Happiest Place on Earth even happier with your baby news. And, as someone who did a name reveal for my baby at
Disneyland Park while pregnant, I understand the fun and excitement that such announcements can be.
To answer your question about the use of smoke sticks, I consulted both the
Disneyland Resort Rules and Regulations and the
Disneyland Theme Parks Permitted Items list. Unfortunately, I have some bad news - smoke sticks fall under the items that are prohibited at the resort. It falls under the "Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines" that are not permitted.
I know this is disappointing news but I do have some fun alternatives that you may want to consider. Why not grab a set of infant
Mickey Mouse Ears at
The Mad Hatter on Main Street, U.S.A., or
The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland? At either location, you can personalize the ears with your baby's name, or ask a Cast Member if they can put "Boy" or "Girl" on the back. Please note the second option is subject to Cast Member discretion.
Or you could grab a character photo with
Mickey or
Minnie at their houses in
Mickey's Towntown while holding a sign that says "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl." I'll bet both Mickey and Minnie would love to celebrate the newest member of their fan club!
Or the sweetest option of all, grab a Mickey- or Minnie-themed treat at
Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A., and take an Instagram-worthy photo with it in front of
Sleeping Beauty Castle! My favorite treats there right now are the Mickey and Minnie Valentine's Day Cupcakes and the Mickey and Minnie Cake Pops. Bonus: You can
mobile order treats from Candy Palace in the
Disneyland Mobile App!
While you're at the Disneyland resort, don't forget to grab a free "I'm Celebrating" button from City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in
Disney California Adventure Park. You may also be able to locate a button from a Cast Member at one of the many shops around the Disneyland Resort. It's a fun souvenir for a magical visit!
I hope this answers your question, friend. Congratulations, again, on your exciting news! Please visit
planDisney again with any other planning questions.
Best wishes to you during this exciting time,
Melissa
