Hi dear, I am planning our trip to Orlando from uk , my son is autistic, is there any sort of fast pass for him? Also if we stay at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort , can we use the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort still ? Kind regards

    Hello Ester!

You are welcome as can be here at planDisney and I'm excited to help you today!

I am glad to let you know that there is a service called Disability Access Service or DAS which allows guests with a disability who have difficulty waiting in a traditional queue the chance to "wait in line" somewhere of their choosing. For example, if the wait time for Slinky Dog Dash is 105 minutes you can request a DAS return time that will be approximately 105 minutes later. During this time, you can go eat, rest, relax, or even go back to your Resort room. Once the time has elapsed you can return and enter via the Lightning Lane entrance. DAS requires registration but luckily it is done right at the beginning of your trip at the first Park you visit at Guest Relations and is then valid for 60 days. Registration involves having a Cast Member ask some questions and then if approved setting up your My Disney Experience Mobile App so it can be used throughout your holiday for this service. DAS is valid for a guest who has a disability and up to five guests. The person with a disability must participate in the attraction as this service is for them.

If you find that your little one is not as eager to ride some attractions while the rest of your party wishes to enjoy them then consider purchasing Disney Genie+. It is a paid service that is bought on the day of your Park day for the Park you are visiting or for multiple parks. The price fluctuates daily but it lets guests select return times for Lightning Lanes throughout the day for numerous attractions. I love using Disney Genie+ as I am always excited to book my next attraction and can have multiple Lightning Lanes booked at a time. With DAS, only one return time can be booked at a time and a new one can't be booked until the first one is used. With Disney Genie+ a return time can be booked at certain time intervals or after the last one booked is used. Using DAS with Disney Genie+ could be an exciting way to maximize your trip and please everyone!

Ester, I love Disney's All-Star Movies Resort! I have stayed twice and just recently a few months ago and have found the larger-than-life figures and fun theme to be a perfect way to be immersed in the Disney magic. The Fantasia Pool is huge and perfect for my family. I prefer the quiet of the Duck Pond Pool as The Mighty Ducks is one of my favorite movies! Now, unfortunately, resort amenities are limited to the guests staying at that specific resort. Unless you are a guests at Disney's Art of Animation Resort you will not be allowed to use their pool. In fact, the pool entrances tend to have a secure entry that requires guests to tap in with their room key or Disney band to enter. I'm sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but consider splitting your stay so that you enjoy a few days at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort before moving to another Resort like Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Disney's Bell Services will handle moving your luggage for you and you can enjoy the amenities at both resorts!

I hope this helps and if you have more questions please feel free to let me know!

    Happy Planning!
