Dear PlanDisney, I would like to do a Good Neighbor hotel this trip, which I've never done. I wanted to know do most of them have shuttles with wheelchair access and can I still book my dining 60 days out? Thank you.

Hey Howdy Hey Arnel and welcome back to planDisney!

There are so many great benefits to booking a trip and staying at the local Good Neighbor Hotels. For starters the location! It is so nice to stay so close to the Magic and not have to worry about long travel times so you can get there quickly to enjoy your day full of fun and whimsy! I will have to say though, that it may be tough trying to pick which Good Neighbor hotel as they all have different options to suit your party's needs. Hakuna Matata Arnel, let's review some things and get you pointed in the right direction to make the best selection!

One great thing about booking your trip to Walt Disney World and staying at a Good Neighbor hotel is knowing they have been thoroughly vetted by Disney Cast Members to get this distinction. This means they do go that extra step to take special care of their Guests and work with Disney for things like transportation. What I am not sure of, is the specific kind of transportation that each hotel will offer. Since these resorts are not specifically operated by Disney, they may have a variety of options for transportation. To be 100% confident in your options, I would make sure to reach out specifically to those hotels and ask the specifics on wheelchair accessibility with transportation.

With regards to the 60-day dining reservation, most of the Good Neighbor hotels will have this option, but again, not all have the same benefits so checking before you book will be your best bet to find out. One great place to start is by looking at the Early Theme Park Entry benefit. Here you will see a list of resorts, about halfway down you should see the Good Neighbors, that offer this benefit. The benefits are usually paired in that they may have Early Theme Park Entry and the 60-day dining window benefit so looking at which resorts offer early entry may be a great place to start. Just make sure to check specifically with the resort before you book!

Keep up with all that is going on in Walt Disney World over at Disney Parks Blog as you continue to plan your trip. There is so much that is changing with all the new neighborhoods in EPCOT as well as new attractions such as TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom and Moana's Journey of Water in EPCOT that we are all so excited to hear about. There has not been any word on when these attractions will open, but hopefully, they will be in time for your trip next May!

Best of luck with your continued planning for your trip and if you have any other questions, feel free to pop by again and ask away, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
