Hi Nicholas! Welcome back to planDisney.
Oh my goodness, my son and I LOVED Raya and the Last Dragon. I think Sisu is just the perfect combination of adorable, hilarious, and inspiring. And she’s a
really strong swimmer too!
When the movie was released,
The Disney Parks Blog highlighted some of the ways Raya and the Last Dragon was being celebrated around Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The Baby Tuk Tuk mousse sounded so delicious – I hope it’s still there when I visit in June!
At this time, neither Raya nor Sisu have been spotted around the Walt Disney World Resort. Now that Kumandra is reunited and Sisu’s siblings are back, I bet they’re pretty busy leading and spending time with family. I see your trip is in October, so there’s lots of time for a journey. My advice is to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog – if Mickey throws his
Halloween Party this year, there’s a chance our friends Raya and Sisu might be invited! (We're still waiting on details about whether Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place in 2021.)
Nicholas,
character experiences are working a little differently right now for health and safety reasons as part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World resort. While things might change between now and your visit, right now characters are popping up safely distanced so that you can wave and take selfies; for example, you might spot the Disney Princesses waving to Guests from atop the Main Street, U.S.A. train station, or Elsa saying hello from outside her Royal Sommerhus in EPCOT’s Norway. The Disney Parks Blog is the best source for updates and changes, so be sure to follow them on your favorite social media platform.
Please say hi to your daughter, and tell her she has great taste in movies! I’m sharing her aqua-and-purple pixie-dusted wishes that Raya and Sisu make an appearance at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
