Dear PDP, we had a daughter who passed years ago and we often release balloons to her as a celebration of her. We wanted to make sure we could release a Mickey ballon from magic kingdom in honor of her?

Hello Nicholas, and welcome back to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by with another question. On behalf of all of us, I want to start by offering my sincere condolences on your daughter's passing. I'm glad to hear your family has found a meaningful way to honor her during your visits to Walt Disney World.

I did a little investigating for you, Nicholas, and it looks like if you want to release one or a couple of balloons in the Magic Kingdom Park, it shouldn't be a problem per Walt Disney World Property Rules. Florida law prohibits mass balloon releases, meaning 10 or balloons at one time, so you should be fine to let go of one or two balloons as you have done in the past. You'll find several balloon vendors along Main Street U.S.A., and currently, cash, credit cards, and MagicBands are accepted as payment.

I hope this is helpful, Nicholas, and that you and your family have a wonderful fall adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog and official social media accounts as your vacation approaches. You'll be visiting at the start of the 50th-anniversary celebration, so stay tuned for announcements regarding all there is to zip-a-dee-do during this exciting time. Thanks again for coming to see us at planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
