Dear Moms Panel, My daughter and I will be going to wdw in early march for her 16 birthday. It will also be her first time at wdw as well. We will not be at a disney resort. How can I still make her birthday truly magical?

    Hi Nicole!

Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate a 16th birthday! We often stay off property & always have a great time. When you enter your 1st theme park, be sure to stop by Guest Relations & pick up a complimentary "Happy Birthday" & "1st Visit" button for your daughter.

Here are some ideas for a magical 16th birthday:

    * Plan a special dinner to celebrate. The new Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom is a great place to celebrate. Whenever you make any dining reservations, be sure to tell them you're celebrating her birthday. Speciality cakes are available but with it just being the 2 of you, they can usually put a candle in a cupcake or something for her.
    Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party
    * A backstage tour or special experience. There are many to choose from including the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom & Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom.
    * Downtown Disney offers a perfect place for dining & shopping with a festive atmosphere. We love Characters in Flight. Your daughter may enjoy dining at Planet Hollywood & shopping at TrenD.
    * If she's a thrill seeker, be sure to hit the thrill rides in the parks.
    * Book a Fantasmic! Dinner Package
Portrait Session with Disney a Photographer

I'm out of room for this answer but happy to help you with more suggestions & details on these if you'd like to visit again. Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
