Hello Arnel!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question!
The first time I made reservations at
Teppan Edo was for lunch during a mid-July visit, and I remember having the exact same concern. Since Guests sit around the chef as they prepare the food, I was concerned that the heat coming off the grill would make our experience a bit uncomfortable. We actually considered rebooking our reservation for a December visit the same year, but I was so glad we decided to follow through with our plans – Teppan Edo is now my family’s favorite restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The restaurant is divided into separate but connecting sections, and there are usually four grills in each area where up to 8 Guests can sit together. This is a very popular dining destination, but we never felt hot inside, even at times when the restaurant was very busy. However, we have noticed that it is a bit warmer than other dining locations where we usually have to put on a light sweater because of air conditioning – my family definitely has a hard time dealing with cooler temperatures. Speaking of cool, I highly recommend the refreshing green tea ice cream and the tropical mango mousse cake for dessert.
Moms Panel tip: if you are still concerned about the weather, I suggest making reservations for dinner. Besides enjoying cooler evening temperatures, depending on the time of your booking you may watch
EPCOT Forever fireworks spectacular right outside the restaurant after your meal.
Arnel, I would definitely not let summer stop you from visiting Teppan Edo. I am sure you will have a one of a kind dining and entertainment experience that is a Guest favorite regardless of the season.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
