Dear Jacqui, We have the trip booked, now where do I begin. We have hopper passes and am looking for guidance to where do I start. I just recently received an email encouraging me to make reservations for dinner. Please guide me - only a month to plan.

    Hi Lesa!

Because you will be traveling during a busy time of year, it will be important to have a plan and set realistic expectations.   I would encourage you to make dining reservations as soon as possible.  Advance Dining Reservations can be made at most locations six months in advance.  What this means is that the most popular venues get fully booked far out, especially during busy months, like in the summer.   As soon as you can, please take a look at the vast assortment of diverse table service options in the Disney Dining section of the Walt Disney World website.   You can choose from a variety of cuisine types, character experiences and dinner shows.  Feel free to write back with any questions about specific interests or restaurants.  You can also call (407) WDW-DINE and speak with the agents who are happy to assist you with reservations.

I would also encourage you to get set up with My Disney Experience.  It is an extremely helpful tool which allows you to keep all of your vacation necessities in one convenient place.  You can even download the app on your smartphone.  From dining, to park maps, to attractions, to itinerary planning and more, you will be pleased with all that My Disney Experience can do for you.

Lastly, I'd encourage you to pick the most important things and focus on those.  You will never see everything in one trip.  I've been traveling to Walt Disney World for nearly 40 years and I still haven't done everything.  Get to the parks shortly before posted opening times.  Take a midday break to recharge your batteries.  Go back in the evenings for more fun.  Most of all, enjoy your family time!

I wish you a magical vacation!
