Dear, When everything is going right we are coming to Anaheim in december of this year. I can't find anywhere it is nesessary to by the Photopass for one week in advance or can we by it on the first day of our stay. We have a ticket for 4 days. Thanks

Greetings, Christel, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! December is my favorite time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort, so I’d love to help you plan your getaway!

I’m glad you’re starting to think about the best way to capture your Disney PhotoPass photos – for my family, these photos are the best souvenirs of our vacation! It sounds like you may be interested in purchasing the Disney PhotoPass+ One Week package. I checked with a Cast Member, and am happy to report that yes, you can purchase it upon arrival at the Disneyland Resort. Or, if you prefer to buy it ahead of time, you can find it online here, too. Disney PhotoPass+ One Week allows you to download all of your PhotoPass photos captured over seven consecutive days, including photos taken on select attractions, at Character Dining experiences, and photos with Magic Shot overlays, too. The Cast Member I spoke with recommends purchasing it before you leave the Resort, since you’ll need to link it to your Disney account. If you have any additional questions, you can also call Disney PhotoPass Guest Services at (407) 560-4300.

I have one more option to tell you about, and it’s called Disney MaxPass. If you’re interested in a daily option instead, this is a great way to capture your PhotoPass memories, while also taking advantage of the added benefit of digital Disney FASTPASS service! With Disney MaxPass, you’ll also receive all of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the day, including attraction, dining, and Magic Shot photos.

In terms of cost, here’s how it breaks down: Currently, Disney PhotoPass+ One Week is available for $78, but this price is subject to change without notice. MaxPass is available for $20 per ticket, per day, but this price is also subject to change without notice. So, over the four days of your visit, the cost of both options is very similar, however, with MaxPass, you’ll also receive the benefit of making digital FASTPASS selections, which is especially helpful when you’re park hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Just keep in mind that in order for everyone in your group to enjoy the benefits of making mobile FASTPASS selections, you’ll each need to add MaxPass to your tickets. If you choose to add MaxPass simply for the PhotoPass benefit, just one Guest can add it to their ticket instead. Since you already purchased your tickets, you can add MaxPass on a daily basis after entering the theme parks. Simply download the Disneyland app, then create a free Disney account to log in. Afterward, you can link your tickets in the app, and add Disney MaxPass to whichever tickets you choose!

I also enjoy using the Disneyland app to mobile order food, check attraction wait times, find favorite Characters, and view my PhotoPass photos. You can even use it to track down Santa Claus, since he can usually be found in both theme parks during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

Hope to see ya’ real soon, Christel!
