Ahoy there, Nicolas!
You’re back with another great question, so that means you have a Disney cruise coming up. YAY! The fall is my favorite time to take an adventure at sea. I attribute that to all the fun
Halloween on the High Seas voyages we have done. Nothing quite like seeing amazing holiday decorations everywhere, from jack-o-lanterns on the portholes to the festive Pumpkin Tree in the Atrium.
While I am always impressed with the
Disney Cruise Line staterooms, it is nice to spice things up a bit with extra decor. This is especially true when celebrating special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or just celebrating the fact that you are going on a Disney cruise! Having stateroom decorations waiting for you is always a photo-worthy moment, so get that phone or camera ready.
All the available gift options can be found at
Onboard Gifts, including romance packages, floral, beer and wine, cakes, and in-room decor. Just enter your reservation number or browse by departure port to see what options are available for your sailing. Between nautical characters, birthday wishes, Avengers, and Marvel, your surprise stateroom decor is sure to add the WOW factor!
If you do choose to pre-purchase through Onboard Gifts, it has to be done at least three days prior to your sail date. That is why you are seeing October 19th as your cutoff date for ordering since your sail date is October 22nd. The reason: Captain Mickey likes to get all those details worked out in advance of each voyage, and then he has to start planning for the next cruise. Onboard Gifts are still available for all sailings beyond October 19th...it’s just the deadline for placing your order!
One of the fun ways to add a pop to your stateroom is using magnets on your door. Added bonus: they help you figure out which stateroom is yours when walking down the hallway! Of course, participating in a Fish Extender gift exchange is another surefire way to make a splash with decor OUTSIDE your stateroom. While not officially sponsored by Disney Cruise Line, a Fish Extender group is typically found on a specially created Facebook page for that particular cruise. To locate the Fish Extender group for your sailing, put the name of your ship and the sailing date into a Facebook search. This should turn up the group and more information about the exchanges.
Nicholas, “just keep swimming” back to planDisney. We are always in SCHOOL when it comes to vacation planning and like Nemo, we are more than happy to lend a lucky fin.
Happy Sailing!
