It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Vikki!
I'm so glad you asked about two of my favorite things: the
Disney Dining Plan and a great
Character Dining experience. I had the chance to try some of the menu items that you're going to get to eat at
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and you're definitely in for a treat. You should try the Enchanted Apple cocktail, which is one of the most delicious things I had when I was there!
Speaking of drinks, you've brought up a great point about how the Disney Dining Plan works when you're dining at a restaurant with a prix fixe menu where the drink is included with the price of the meal. This is one of those insider tips that the experts know about, and it's that if you're dining at a restaurant with this type of menu, you are actually able to order two drinks: one included with the prix fixe meal, and one that's included with the redemption of your Disney Dining Plan credit. Since the Dining Plan now includes the choice of an alcoholic beverage for guests over the age of 21, this means that those guests could order an alcoholic beverage as well as the non-alcoholic drink that comes with the prix fixe meal. Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White actually has some really cool non-alcoholic specialty drinks, like the mysterious color-changing Transformation Potion, so be sure to try a few of those while your family is there as well.
I hope this answers your question, Vikki, and let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
