dear anna, From another former philly girl who gets whiz out. anyway staying with 9 fam. members in July at SS, two of them are disabled and one wild 3yr. old. Where is the best location in SS to stay? thanks,

Yo, Christiane!  Love my Whiz witout friends!

Saratoga Springs is one of my home resorts with Disney Vacation Club, and I love it there.  I like that it is a huge, sprawling resort with so many amenities, close to Downtown Disney, and with a wonderful spa.  I hope you save some time to enjoy the resort!

With disabled guests and children, the best location in my opinion would be the Springs section of the resort.  This is the closest section to all the main features of the resort - Artist's Palette - which is part counter service restaurant, part grocery store, and part gift shop;  the High Rock Springs pool; the Turf Club Bar and Grill (which may have the best Caesar salad anywhere on Walt Disney World property); and the Horsing Around Rentals shop.  You really can't beat the location in terms of being close to the majority of the amenities.

If you think you won't use the pool that often and you are not interested in the dining options at Saratoga Springs, you might prefer to be closer to Downtown Disney.  This resort is about a ten minute walk from Downtown Disney if you are staying in the Congress Park section.  There is also a ferry that takes you to Downtown Disney, and the ferry dock is just behind the Carriage House (the main lobby area), so that is closest to the Springs section.

My girls - ages 17, eight, and four - love this resort.  I hope your family enjoys your upcoming vacation!

Have a wonderful vacation, Christiane!  Thanks so much for the question!
