Congratulations on your retirement, Frances. That definitely deserves celebrating. Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do there. We have dined at many of the top restaurants and always enjoy the diversity of selections and experiences. While the resorts have many of the fine dining restaurants, there are also a couple that I would highly recommend in Epcot.
Le Cellier at the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase is one of our absolute favorites. The atmosphere gives the feeling of dining within the cavernous wine cellar of a chateau. The attention to detail is superb with its lower ceilings and arches. The menu is one that makes it hard to decide among the amazing choices. My personal favorite is their self-named mushroom filet mignon, but I always start with their famous cheddar cheese soup made with Moosehead beer and smoked bacon. It's a wonderfully quaint and cozy place to dine.
Another option I would highly recommend is the
newly re-imagined restaurant in the France Pavilion of Epcot, Monsieur Paul. It opened in the space that was once Bistro de Paris. This new restaurant is among the finest in the parks. It's also one of the few where there is no kids menu, therefore, you may find it appealing to more couples. I dined at Bistro de Paris years ago and loved the elegance and refinement of the space and from what I hear, it has those special qualities along with a fresh and new feel. The menu leaves my mouth-watering with its delectable options.
I think you will be quite pleased with either one of these special restaurants to celebrate this milestone in your lives. Be sure to book early as these two are quite popular!
Bon Appétit,
