Oh no, Nancy! It sounds like you have a bah humbug in your holiday vacation plans. I'm glad you came to planDisney with this question so that we can help you feel as happy as Scrooge on Christmas Morning.
The policies on cancellations and modifications depend on how close your vacation is. With 30 days or more, you can typically cancel (or modify) a
vacation package without any associated costs. Modifications made 30 days or less before the arrival date are subject to a $50 change fee.
It sounds like you have included a travel protection plan, which has its own policies and protections. You can check the policy online by going to the
2025 Walt Disney Travel Company Terms and Conditions for Walt Disney World Resort, clicking the link provided in the "Travel Protection Plan" section and selecting your state.
I checked with a Cast Member for the best advice for next steps, given your trip is just over a week away. You will need to call
Tickets and Hotel Reservations for assistance moving your date. You would also need a new vacation protection policy to cover the new travel dates. The Cast Members are wonderful and should be able to help you check availability, change your reservations, and provide all the details you need to get your new dream vacation on the books.
Nancy, I am sorry that life happened and you had to change your plans. I hope you can get your reservations updated and have a new trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth on the horizon. If we can help with any other questions, please come see us again at
planDisney.
