The good news is that refundable
Port Adventures can generally be modified or canceled up to 3 days before your sailing without any cancellation fees. If an excursion is non-refundable, Disney will let you know during the booking process, so it's always worth
taking a quick look at the cancellation details before you confirm your reservation.
If you find yourself inside that 3-day window and your plans change, don't give up hope just yet! Once you're onboard, stop by the
Port Adventures Desk and speak with a Cast Member about your options. While refunds within that window aren't guaranteed, they may be able to accommodate your request if there's a waitlist and another Guest is able to take your place.
One tip that's worked well for my family is to open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as we arrive at the cruise terminal and connect to the ship's Wi-Fi. More than once we've seen an onboard activity that was previously sold out suddenly become available. It's a little like watching Genie pop out of the lamp, sometimes a little Disney magic appears when you least expect it!
