Is there a deadline to activate an annual pass? So, for example,if i buy one on Jul 1, 2019, must I activate it with my first entry into a park within a year?

Hey howdy hey, Scott and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. To me, being a Walt Disney World Resort Passholder means I can enjoy the thrills, spills, and nostalgia over and over again without having to worry about buying theme park tickets. In fact, with the Passholder Program benefits on dining, merchandise, tours, and Disney Resort hotels, as well as complimentary standard theme park parking, my annual pass pays for itself. There are even special summer offers for Passholders.

You have 12 months to activate your Passport. Activation occurs at the first use, i.e., when you enter a theme park for the first time. If you purchase an Annual Passport and do not use it within the first 12 months, you may apply the value of your Passport to purchase a new Passport and pay the difference.

With all the excitement regarding Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, this is the perfect time to purchase an annual pass. The Disneyland Park location has been an intergalactic success and Guests who have repeated access through their annual pass are the ones enjoying it the most. Since the Disney's Hollywood Studios location will be opening up August 29, 2019, Walt Disney World Resort announced that special previews for this brand new Land will opening up for select Passholders. Now is the time to beat the crowds to the Black Spire Outpost on planet Batuu.

Disney Dad Tip: When you become a Passholder you should always carry your Passholder card with you. Present it to Cast Members (Disney lingo for employees) when making a purchase. If you forget it, some Cast Members will allow you to show them your Annual Pass through the ticket section on the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Scott, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
