Can I deactivate a Magic Band 2 and reassign it to another person?

    Hi Georgeanne!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. MagicBands are a fantastic addition to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I love that they make it so easy to enjoy a theme park day by giving me access to my theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of my MagicBand.

While you are able to deactivate MagicBands from your My Disney Experience account to manage what's linked in your account, unfortunately MagicBands are non-transferrable. So once a MagicBand or MagicBand 2 is linked to a My Disney Experience account, it cannot be deactivated and linked to a new account or transferred to a new person managed by your account. You can always purchase additional MagicBands online or at one of the Walt Disney World Resort merchandise shops if someone needs a new MagicBand. I recommend that you consider purchasing graphic MagicBands, as they are a great way to show your Disney style during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Please let us know if you have additional questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
