While my DD's 10 & 13 are horseback riding at Fort Wilderness, is there somewhere nearby (store perhaps) that I can visit (I am not riding)? I think that horseback riding is only 45 min. so it won't be long- August, so anywhere air conditioned???

    Hello Jana!

Your kids are going to LOVE horseback riding at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds!

I also think you are going to LOVE my answer for an air-conditioned area to relax while your children are galloping the resort grounds.  There is a horseback riding check-in window in the main parking lot area of the resort where you will check in your kids.  As their adventure begins, you can make your away across the parking lot to the air conditioned lobby of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds!  The lobby will be your best bet to kick up your feet and relax.

TIP:  Make sure to check-in your kids 30 minutes before the horseback riding begins.  If you arrive after the safety announcement, your kids will not be able to ride.  If you have other horseback riding questions, you can also call Tri-Circle-D Ranch directly at 407-824-2832.

Please let me know if you have other questions!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
