Its my DD's 10th birthday when we go. She asked if we could eat at the Sci-Fi Diner (DHS) cos "it will be really cool to eat in a car". Is this a good place for a b'day? Is it fun? Any other suggestions?

I'm going to absolutely agree with your daughter; it is really cool to eat in a car! Disney's Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is all about the theming. Getting to experience the old drive-in movie theater experience is such fun, and all of the campy film clips from the 1950s are a hoot, too. For my family, dining here is a tradition and a perfect spot for hamburgers and shakes. Similarly, the 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios is another fun place to eat where you feel as though you've stepped back in time and will be reminded to keep your elbows off the table and finish all your vegetables before dessert.

Another spot for great celebrations like a birthday is the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Along with its great bbq ribs, you'll find plenty of laughter and rowdy behavior as the wait staff has tons of fun while working with guests.

For a sweet ending, I also have to mention Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort where you could treat your daughter to the ginormous kitchen sink sundae.

Finally, I also have to let you know your daughter can also ride in a amphicar for her birthday.  Imagine a car that drives into the water and then works like a boat!
