Hi Cheri,
Love, love, love staying at the Beach Club and having such easy access to all the great eats and drinks of the World Showcase!
You certainly are eligible to make advanced dining reservations now if you want. The summer crowds will start to thin by the time of your visit in late August, but I still recommend having at least one reservation per day, especially if there are spots you don't want to miss.
You can cancel most reservations without penalty if your plans change. Just note that the very most popular character dining and signature dining require a credit card deposit. If you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation or don't show up, you will be charged a penalty. A few, such as Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, require advance payment.
If you have a reservation and find you want to eat earlier, the restaurants often can work you in. It's much easier to be early than late.
Some of my favorite Disney dining is at Epcot. My top picks:
- Rose and Crown
- Tokyo Dining
- Le Cellier (you definitely need a reservation here.)
- Via Napoli
- Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar
My family also is a fan of the quick service selections at Sunshine Seasons, Tangierine Cafe, Katsura Grill and the new Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie.
I hope that is helpful. Please let me know if I can offer any other advice or answer questions as you plan your visit. Enjoy!
Wilma
