We have use the DDP in the past, before it was changed to NOT include tip and appetizer. Then I found it to be a huge savings. Now I'm hesitant to use it again. We are considering the DP for an upcoming trip, but is it really a money saver? If so, how?

Hi Diane - you are definitely right - it was a huge savings a few years ago, when it included an appetizer and gratuity.  I also wondered whether or not it was worthwhile, but I've come to the conclusion that it is still a value (albeit not the amazing value it used to be).

To get the most value from the plan, make advance dining reservations as soon as your booking window opens, so you can get your choice of time and location.  I find that most signature dining locations (the ones that require 2 credits) don't provide much value on the plan, so skip those and instead choose locations that only require 1 credit.

    I hope that helps!
