Hello, we have the DDP, but will need to purchase our dinner OOP the first night we are there. Looking for some good ideas that won't break the bank. Also, which resort has the best beach to visit on that first night we are there? Thanks for your help!

Hi Kristen! The Disney Dining Plan is a good call budget wise. You know your meal costs up front and you save money on dining.

For your first night consider visiting Disney's Polynesian Resort. From the beach here you can view the Magic Kingdom's firework show and the Electrical Water Parade while relaxing in a swing or on the sand. Beforehand try one of the resort's restaurants. O'hana serves sides and salad family style and servers bring endless meat selections on skewers to your table. Coconut races, hoola hoop fun, and storytellers create a fun, entertaining atmosphere . The Kona Cafe serves innovative food with an Asian flair. Excellent desserts and coffee are found here. Captain Cook's is a quick service restaurant that would be your least expensive option at this resort. The flatbread here is delicious.

    Enjoy your magical vacation!
