Hi, Christina! The first evening in Disney is always my favorite. Knowing you have your whole vacation ahead of you is so exciting!
The Pepper Market is a nice place to eat, but not convenient to get to unless you have a car. You will have to travel to either Downtown Disney or a theme park to catch a bus over to Coronado Springs, not really worth the effort! If you do have a car, you can drive over. Stop at the Security Booth and they will wave you in so you can dine at this resort.
So let me give you what I think is a better option. You can hop on a boat right at Port Orleans Riverside that will take you to
Downtown Disney. Here, you have several dining options. For quick service, I recommend Wolfgang Puck Express. No reservations needed, fast service, and great options to choose from. For a table service restaurant, you can try Cap'n Jacks, Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road, or Wolfgang Puck Cafe (reservations recommended for table service restaurants.)
After dinner, you can walk around and take in the sites, shop, go see a movie, get ice cream at Ghiradelli Soda Shop, or even see WDW from 400 feet in the air on Characters in Flight! Downtown Disney is a great place to spend your first night. You won't get over tired and you will hit the ground running the following morning. Enjoy your time in WDW!
