On DDDP, plan was TS brkfst & dinner with CS lunch to save time and less food. But now I'm thinking it might be nice to take a break, and not have to search for table, etc., even if we just get appetizers for lunch. Is TS lunch really much lo

Hey Julie!  I just love the Disney Dining Plan, I am so happy to hear that you've selected this option for your Walt Disney World vacation.

I think the answer to your question is all about park touring style.  If it were my family, I would probably opt to have breakfast and dinner as sit down meals.  I would try to make my breakfast reservation as early as possible so I could get to the parks before they get crowded.  We like to have counter services meals for lunch because they don't take as long as sit down meals, so we aren't missing prime time riding rides and seeing shows.  I find it isn't hard to get a seat at most counter service locations during lunch time.  I also think because it is so much food on the Disney Dining Plan, we would want time to burn off a sit down meal before turning around and enjoying another.  I also think that by just getting appetizers for lunch you wouldn't getting the best value for your Disney Dining Plan credit.  You have paid to have the Deluxe Dining Plan so I would try to use it to its full potential.  But that's just my family.  If your family has a slower pace at the parks or wants a midday stop, then that might be an option for you.

If you have any other questions regarding the Disney Dining Plan, please feel free to ask.  Happy eating!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
