My dd(5) is wise beyond her years and has been questioning us about the characters as we watch videos of our previous WDW vacations. How do you moms keep the Disney magic alive for your entire family as some of your children start to clue in?

    Hi there, Jessica!

Your question brings a big smile to my face because we used to call my daughter the 5-year old teenager back when she was 5! She's now 11 and she's the 11-year old 20-something. We all believe that she's been here before because she knows way too much about things! It sounds like your daughter possesses that same quality! :)

One of my most favorite pictures of my daughter was taken on our first trip to Disneyland. She was only 2 and we were meeting Pluto for the first time. When he came to our table, she could not stop looking in his mouth. I'm not kidding. I still can't believe it when I look at the picture and laugh because she INSISTED that someone was in there. The picture we took captured that moment perfectly and it's such a fabulous memory!

Here's the deal though. I tell my kids that the magic will be there as long as they believe that it's there. If they choose not to believe it, well, the magic stops. Even my 15-year old son plays along with it because he knows how much fun we have when we believe in the magic! The way I figure it, we have to be real with our kids at some point because they do start to figure things out, but as long as we encourage them to believe in the magic, they will!

I sure hope this helps a little, Jessica! I'm sure that you would get a different answer from each one of us Moms, but this is how we roll in my family!

    Have a Pixie Dusted day!
