My DD4 and I will be @WDW 3/2-3/10! Just days away! It is our first time and I'm freaking out! What do I pack? What are the things people most often forget?

    Hi Amanda!

OOOOH!!  How exciting!  Your first time at Disney World and it's just a week away!  The first thing you shouldn't forget to pack is a swim suit for both of you.  My kids have so much fun taking a break from the parks to splash around in the pool in the afternoon.  The weather has been creeping up into the high 80's lately, so it should be beautiful weather to take a dip in the pool.  Since you will be gone more than a week, pack a few pairs of shorts and shirts and at least one pair of pants and a sweatshirt/jacket.  It might be chilly at night and in the early mornings.

Some of the essentials that people don't think to bring or forget to bring are:

    Sun tan lotion
    Tylenol
    Batteries for phone or camera
Wet wipes for messes (ALWAYS comes in handy)
Rain jacket or umbrellas (may have some rainy days in early March) or you can purchase park ponchos
    Sunglasses
Zip lock bags for when my son doesn't finish his lunch or dinner and wants it 10 minutes after we leave the restaurant.  I also use a zip lock back to toss any keepsakes I collect along the way like tickets, maps, stickers, receipts, parade confetti...

If you think your daughter will like the characters and will want to get their autographs, purchase an autograph book first thing so you don't get caught in a character meet & greet without it!  My son (3 1/2) really loves handing his book over to his favorite characters to get them to sign it.  Make sure you purchase a pen as well if your book doesn't come with one.

Stop by any guest services or the concierge at your resort to pick up "1st Visit" buttons!  Your daughter will love to wear it!

    Have a magical day!
